Taking care of your teeth and gums is the best way to ensure lasting dental health and overall health. As the adage goes, prevention is better than cure. A few habits, practiced daily, will go a long way in giving you a healthy and bright smile…

  • Brush your teeth atleast twice a day
  • Make flossing a part of your daily dental routine. If you have braces, use floss threads to get in between the metal brackets
  • Rinse with mouth wash and use a tongue scraper to eliminate the bacteria that live in between your teeth and on your tongue
  • Get a fluoride application every 6 months to desensitize your teeth and prevent cavities
  • Teach your children oral hygiene at an early age
  • Replace your toothbrush every two months
  • Get a dental cleaning and polishing every six months
  • Avoid consuming caffeine-rich drinks like tea and coffee, or soft drinks which can harm your tooth enamel and discolor your teeth
  • Avoid smoking as it is not only injurious to health but can damage your teeth and gums
  • If your gums bleed, call us to schedule an appointment as it could be a symptom of root decay
  • Eat a balanced diet that is rich in nutrients and include crunchy foods like raw carrots or fruit to exercise your jaws
